The module (2) has a diode laser arranged off an optical axis (10). A deflecting mirror (5) is arranged in the optical axis in such a way that light sent by the diode laser turns back along the optical axis in a rod-shaped Holmium:YAG (Ho:YAG) crystal (3). The deflecting mirror is transmissive in a wavelength range of laser emission from the Ho:YAG crystal. The deflecting mirror is reflected in a region of wavelength of the diode laser such that the module is formed by a set of of connectors, and is joined with similar modules to become a laser device (1). An independent claim is also included for a laser array comprising a common cooling.
