PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating a waste nutrient solution and a nutrient solution-based cultivating apparatus using the same are provided to reuse the waste nutrient solution by eliminating various pathogenic bacteria and remaining organic materials from the waste nutrient solution. CONSTITUTION: A sterilizing chamber(20) includes an inlet and an outlet. A housing surrounds the sterilizing chamber and forms a gas flow path(45) around the sterilizing chamber. An ozone supplying part introduces generated ozone into the sterilizing chamber and mixes the ozone and a waste nutrient solution. An ultraviolet ray lamp(60) is installed in the housing and radiates ultraviolet ray to the sterilizing chamber. A photo-decomposing unit(70) is installed in the sterilizing unit and decomposes organic materials in the waste nutrient solution.
