PURPOSE: A butterfly valve is provided to install a new packing without separating a speed reducer when water leaks through a main bearing part. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve comprises a main bearing part(200), a packing gland(700), and a speed reducer(600). The main bearing part supports a valve disk(400). The packing gland, which is divided into upper and lower rims, is installed in the main bearing part. The packing gland can be completely separated from the main bearing part through a gap(620) between support levers(610) of the speed reducer, without separating the speed reducer from the main bearing part, and a new packing can be replaced with or added to the existing packing.
