<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable determination as to whether a target is a superstructure or a vehicle when receiving a reflected wave from the target. <P>SOLUTION: An arithmetic processor 26 calculates a second-order derivative value of an intensity of a reflected wave, and determines whether a target 32 is a superstructure or a vehicle based on the second-order derivative value.
