PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for fixing gel that can form gel with high reliability and in a good yield.

SOLUTION: A substrate 1 for fixing gel in this invention is a substrate for fixing gel which fixes gel 3 for electrophoresis to the substrate. And the substrate 1 for fixing the gel has a gel attachment region 2 treated so that the gel 3 is attached on at least a part of a surface where the gel 3 is to be fixed.
