摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce frame-shaped light leakage of a twisted alignment mode liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The twisted alignment mode liquid crystal display device comprises: a pair of polarizers (11, 12) arranged with the polarization axis being orthogonal to each other; a TN mode liquid crystal cell (13) arranged between the polarizers; and a low-substitution layer which includes cellulose acylate satisfying 2.0<Z1<2.7 (Z1 is the total degree of acyl substitution of cellulose acylate of the low-substitution layer) as the major constituent. The twisted alignment mode liquid crystal display device has the low-substitution layer between the a pair of polarizers and the TN mode liquid crystal cell respectively, and has the low-substitution layer on the outer surface of the pair of polarizers respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
