摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a virtual slide with high spatial resolution by acquiring a clear micro image in a small region disposed near a contour position of a specimen. <P>SOLUTION: A microscope apparatus 1 includes: a macro-image capturing section 7 that captures a macro image of a glass slide B having a specimen mounted thereon; an extraction section 10 that extracts the specimen A in the macro image; an area dividing section 11 that divides an area including the whole of the extracted specimen A into a plurality of small regions; a micro-image capturing section 8 that captures a micro image while performing an automatic focusing operation for the specimen in each of the small regions; a ratio-of-area calculation section 13 which calculates a ratio of an area occupied by the specimen A in each of the small regions; and a microscope control section 15 which, after performing the automatic focusing operation first in either of the small regions where the calculated ratio of the area is a predetermined threshold or more, controls the micro-image capturing section 8 to capture the micro image from either of the small regions including the contour of the specimen A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
