Changing device (1) comprises: a removal station (3), by which used collet (2) of the bolt welding device is removed; and a receiving station (4), by which unused collet of bolt welding device is supplied. The changing device is operatively coupled with a bolt welding device. The removal station and the receiving station exhibit a holding device for detachably holding the collet. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a bolt welding system comprising the bolt welding device and the changing device, where the bolt welding device comprises a welding robot with a robotic arm on which a welding head is arranged with a collet receptacle for receiving the collet, and the changing device is operatively coupled with the welding device and is arranged with respect to the welding robot such that the removal station and the receiving station with the welding head are controlled by the robotic arm; and (2) automatically changing collets on the welding head with the collet receptacle of the bolt welding device by using the welding system, comprising removing the used collet from the collet receptacle of the welding head, and holding the used collet with the holding device of the removal station, providing unused collet in the receiving station, and receiving the unused collet in the collet receptacle of the welding head and holding the unused collet with the holding device of the receiving station.
