The vehicle i.e. motor car (1), has a safety device (3) for preventing consequences of collision of the vehicle with a wild animal (5) e.g. wild pig. A determination device (7) determines collision hazard of the vehicle with the wild animal. A warning device (13) warns the wild animal about the collision hazard based on the determination of the collision hazard. The warning device comprises a noise source for dispensing warning and/or alignment striking noise to the wild animal. The determination device comprises a sensor device (9) for detecting the wild animal. An independent claim is also included for a method for preventing or reducing collision of a vehicle with a wild animal.
