The guide (1) has a guide unit (2) comprising cable guide elements (3, 4) whose ends (3', 4') are connected with a corner piece (5). The cable guide elements and the corner piece comprise a cable duct such that a tattoo machine (M) is connected with a cable (K) by the cable duct. Another end (3'') of the one of the cable guide elements is connected with a bearing (6) i.e. rotary bearing, such that the guide unit is connected with a base. The cable guide elements are formed as telescoping rods. Two arms (5b) of an elbow are arranged perpendicular to each other.
