<p>The invention relates to the distilling of sea water and can be used for producing fresh water. The water distilling plant comprises a sea water tank with a fixed water level. An evaporator is constructed in the form of a reservoir, within which a heat exchanger is arranged with a system of vertical pipes which are interconnected at the bottom and are connected to a connecting pipe for conveying sea water out of the water tank. Main heaters are arranged inside the pipes below the water level. Additional heaters are arranged above the pipes at an angle to the horizontal. A uniform water level is established in the pipes and the water tank, the water flowing from the bottom upwards out of the connecting pipe for conveying the water into the pipes. The technical result consists in increasing the speed and efficiency of producing fresh water, and the compactness and versatility while simultaneously enhancing the reliability and safety.</p>
