<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposal facility for an NaS battery capable of efficiently disposing of discarded NaS batteries in volume and a preprocessing device for the NaS battery used in the disposal facility for the NaS battery. <P>SOLUTION: A disposal facility for an NaS battery that disposes of NaS batteries in which natrium and sulfur are contained in a closed vessel comprises a metal refining furnace into which the NaS batteries are introduced and a preprocessing device 20 for performing a pretreatment processing to the NaS batteries to be introduced into the metal refining furnace. The preprocessing device 20 comprises a processing chamber 23 in which a NaS battery 50 is housed, an inert gas supply means 27 by which the inside of the processing chamber 23 is set to an inert gas atmosphere, processing means 25, 26 for forming a communication port communicating with the outside in the closed vessel of the NaS battery 50, and an introducing part 30 for introducing the NaS battery 50 into the metal refining furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
