<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium for detecting E.coli in β-glucuronidase containing food and drink. <P>SOLUTION: A method for detecting E.coli in β-glucuronidase containing food and drink includes: the culture medium for detecting E.coli in β-glucuronidase containing food and drink comprising 6-chloro-3-indolyl-β-D-glucuronide or a salt thereof; and observing the presence or absence of a color development of the culture medium after culturing by inoculating the culture medium with β-glucuronidase containing food and drink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
