<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint remover that can easily and efficiently removes a paint film and can reduce corrosion caused in a support of an object to be painted when the paint film on the support of the object is removed by immersing the support of the object in a removing solution. <P>SOLUTION: The paint remover comprises an aliphatic cyclic epoxy resin and a water-insoluble imidazole compound. The content of the water-insoluble imidazole compound is 1-50 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the aliphatic cyclic epoxy resin.
