<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever float type drain trap in which a foreign substance does not easily adhere to a normally open part, and which is capable of automatically removing a foreign substance that has adhered to the normally open part, and capable of preventing damage to a float when a lever rotates further in a valve opening direction from the position where a valve element fully opens a valve port. <P>SOLUTION: A valve seat 9 with an open valve port that communicates a valve chamber 6 and an outlet 2 is formed in the lower part of the valve chamber 6. The float 13 is accommodated in the valve chamber 6. By the action of the float 13 that floats up and down in response to a liquid level in the valve chamber 6, the valve element 16 is seated on or separated from the valve seat 9 via the lever 12 to open or close the valve port. A short pipe 21 into which the lever 12 is inserted is fixed in the valve chamber 6. The valve element 16 is prevented from being seated on the valve seat 9 by causing the lever 12 to abut against the lower end 22 of the inner surface of the short pipe, and normally open spaces 24 and 25 over the entire sealing surface of the valve seat 9 are provided between the valve seat 9 and the valve element 16. The lever 12 is prevented from further rotating in the valve opening direction from the position where the valve element 16 has fully opened the valve port by causing the lever 12 to abut against the higher end 23 of the inner surface of the short pipe 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
