<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat device capable of surely detecting seating on a toilet seat without using an infrared sensor as seating detecting means. <P>SOLUTION: The toilet seat 1 includes a switch 2 turned on by pressing upward a pressed part 21 facing the lower side of the toilet seat 1. An elastic member 3 formed of rubber into substantially box shape opened upward is mounted to a lower face in a state of being locked to an insertion hole 16 formed in a lower plate part 1b of the toilet seat 1, so as to cover the switch 2. An insulating adhesive is applied to fix locking of the elastic member 3 to the insertion hole 16 by bonding while covering and insulating a terminal 22 of the switch 2 exposed onto the lower plate part 1b. A portion, corresponding to the pressed part 21, of the elastic member 3 is formed as a pressing part 31 pressing by elastic deformation. The pressing part 31 does not press the pressed part 21 when the toilet seat 1 is placed on a rim of a toilet bowl and only the own weight of the toilet seat 1 is applied to the elastic member 3, so that the switch 2 is off, but when a user is seated on the toilet seat 1, the pressing part presses the pressed part 21 to turn the switch 2 on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
