<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape data retrieval system and a shape data retrieval method for accurately and efficiently retrieving the shape data of works whose prescribed portions are similar. <P>SOLUTION: This shape data retrieval system 1 is configured to, by a first extraction part 15, from the shape data of an existing work W<SB POS="POST">e</SB>stored in a shape DB11, extract the partial shape data of the existing work W<SB POS="POST">e</SB>based on a reference point Ps selected by a selection part 13 and a space Rs whose range has been designated by a range designation part 14, and to, by a second extraction part 16, from the shape data of a new work W<SB POS="POST">n</SB>, extract the partial shape data of the new work W<SB POS="POST">n</SB>based on the reference point Ps and the space Rs, and to, by a third extraction part 17, compare the extracted partial shape data of the existing work W<SB POS="POST">e</SB>with the extracted partial shape data of the new work W<SB POS="POST">n</SB>, and extract the partial shape data of the existing work W<SB POS="POST">e</SB>which are similar with the partial shape data of the new work W<SB POS="POST">n</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
