<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lot monitoring system and a parking lot monitoring method capable of monitoring an illegal exit of a vehicle at low cost and without requiring a new structure. <P>SOLUTION: The parking lot monitoring system for monitoring vehicles parked in a parking lot includes: an imaging apparatus for taking an image of a vehicle; an image determination part for determining whether a vehicle parked in a parking area has been moved on the basis of an image taken by the imaging apparatus; a locking apparatus for locking a vehicle parked in a parking area; a monitoring determination part for determining whether the locking apparatus has locked a vehicle; and a notification processing part for, when the monitoring determination part determines the locking apparatus has locked the vehicle and the image determination part determines the vehicle parked in the parking area has been moved, notifying an external contact of an illegal exit of the parked vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
