The charging device has a spiral compressor and a shaft seal ring (6,11,12,17) for sealing a shaft opposite to the outer part (16) for preventing the passage of bearing lubricant. The shaft seal ring is penetrated by the shaft. The outer part surrounds the shaft seal ring. A locking element is provided to engage the outer part during insertion of the shaft seal ring in axial direction.
