PURPOSE: A colored curable composition, a color filter, a method for manufacturing the color filter, a solid-state imaging device, and a liquid crystal display device are provided to form a cured film of superior pattern forming characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A colored curable composition includes colorant polymer, a polymerizable compound, a photo-polymerization initiator, and an organic solvent. The colorant polymer includes a squarylium compound as the partial structure of a colorant part. The squarylium compound is represented by chemical formula M. In the chemical formula M, the A and the B are respectively aryl group or heterocyclic group. A method for manufacturing a color filter includes the following: A colored curable composition layer is formed by applying the composition on a substrate. The colored curable composition layer is exposed in a pattern shape. Un-exposed parts are eliminated to form patterns. |
