<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost holder adaptable to various sizes of workpieces. <P>SOLUTION: The holder holds, by using Bernoulli's principle, the workpiece W on a holding surface 1a provided for a body and includes a windbreak member 8 projecting from an outline of the holding surface 1a. All or a part of this windbreak member 8 keeps a positional relationship facing the workpiece W held on the holding surface 1a.
