<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an outdoor heat exchanger (22) from remaining frosted until heating operation restarts and to improve energy saving effect. <P>SOLUTION: In stopping the heating operation of an air conditioner 1, a controller 430 stops the heating operation by stopping the operation of a compressor 21 when a frosting determination section 431 determines that an outdoor heat exchanger (22) is not frosted, and does not conduct defrosting operation.
