<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing film on the rear surface side of solar cell containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a coloring agent and capable of enhancing power generation efficiency of a solar cell, and to provide a solar cell using this sealing film. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing film 13B on the rear surface side of solar cell is arranged between a solar cell element 14 and a protective member 12 on the rear surface side in order to seal the solar cell element 14. The sealing film 13B for solar cell is a hardened film of a composition for sealing film containing an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a white inorganic pigment, where the content of the white inorganic pigment is 10-30 mass% based on the composition for sealing film.
