<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene-based block copolymer which can obtain a proton conductive membrane having high proton conduction and excellent dimensional stability in water absorption swelling. <P>SOLUTION: The polyarylene-based block copolymer contains a first block which has a first main chain with a polyarylene structure and also an ion exchanging group and a second block which has a second main chain and substantially has no ion exchanging group, wherein the first block has a structural unit shown by formula (1) and a structural unit shown by formula (2), the second block has a structural unit shown by formula (3), and also an ion exchanging capacity of the first block is 3.5-6.0 meq/g (in the formula, Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are each an arylene group, Ar<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is a bivalent aromatic group, Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>has at least one ion-exchanging group and X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is O or S). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
