<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a connecting structure of a backlight equipped with a light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit includes a bracket to which a light-emitting element array is fixed and a bottom cover to which the bracket is fixed and which supports an optical member.
