<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent body for having predetermined sunlight totally reflected on or transmitted through a window set in an arbitrary direction. <P>SOLUTION: In a plate-like transparent body used for a window, two gap layer groups are formed in the transparent body. Each gap layer group comprises a plurality of gap layers. A surface for defining each gap layer in each gap layer group has a same normal vector. The normal vector of the surface for defining each gap layer in one of the two gap layer groups is perpendicular to the normal vector of the surface for defining each gap layer in the other gap layer group. Each of normal vectors of both sides of the transparent body and each of the normal vectors of the surface for defining respective gap layers in the two gap layer groups are in a same plane. The surface for defining one gap layer in the one gap layer group and the surface for defining one gap layer in the other gap layer group are connected as a pair to form a roof surface, by which a plurality of roof surfaces are formed.
