The invention relates to a device (200) and a method for processing signals which represent an angular position of a motor shaft (100). Storage means (202) for storing the arrival times of the signals in a memory (206) are provided, said storage means (202) also determining rotational direction information of the shaft (100). When the shaft (100) rotates in a first direction, the arrival times are stored in a first sequence in the memory (202) and when the shaft (100) is rotated (100) in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction, the arrival times are stored in a second sequence which is opposite the first sequence, in the memory (202). |
