<p>The method involves programming appropriate control system such that renouncement of yielding potential is performed as a function of a wind direction and a position of a wind turbine and/or in varying degrees. A location-dependent operation is activated as a special operation of a system control for alternating wind direction and for suppression of sound emissions. A pitch angle is changed with slight rotation of a rotor of the wind turbine toward a tab position and with unchanged rotor speed (2).</p>
