The device has a valve (11) i.e. metering valve, comprising a valve opening (14) that is arranged upstream a fluid-filled valve chamber (15), where fluid flows through the valve opening. An electrical control unit controls closing and releasing of the valve opening. An injection module (12) is provided in connection with the valve chamber for injecting volume of air into the valve chamber. The injection module is activated by a shutting down operation of the electrical control unit. The injection module is integrated into the valve.
