<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve prevention against deterioration of a solid polymer electrolyte film type fuel cell and stabilization of power generation by suitably performing OCV purging. <P>SOLUTION: In actuation of a fuel cell 1, a potential of an anode of the fuel cell 1 is measured by a reference electrode 14 after initial OCV purging for replacing a fuel supply passage 17 and an anode off-gas passage 18 with new hydrogen, and it is determined that the gas replacement is insufficient when a measured value of the anode potential is equal to or larger than a threshold. Based upon a map showing predetermined relation between anode potentials and gas replacement amounts, a gas replacement amount corresponding to the measured value is found, and OCV purging on the gas fuel supply passage 17 and anode off-gas passage 18 is performed again with the found gas replacement amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
