<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having improved capacity, durability and rate characteristics as compared with a conventional type. <P>SOLUTION: A platy particle or film for a positive electrode active material of a lithium secondary battery is represented by general formula: xLi<SB POS="POST">2</SB>MO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-(1-x)Li<SB POS="POST">p</SB>MeO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>(in the formula, 0<x<1, 0.9≤p≤1.3, and M and Me each independently represent at least one or more metals selected from the group consisting of Mn, Ti, Zr, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Al, Mg, Zr, B and Mo) and has a layered halite structure and (003) plane is oriented so as to cross a plane surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
