<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light emitting device having a small light emission area and a high light extraction efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A uncured transparent material 13' is dropped on any one or both of the surfaces of a light emitting element 11 and a plate-like optical layer 14 by only such a dropping amount that the surface extension of the uncured transparent material 13' is kept, and the light emitting element 11 and the plate-like optical layer 14 are overlapped with each other through the uncured transparent material 13 to form the uncured transparent layer 13' having an inclined side surface 130. Thereafter, the transparent material layer 13 is cured. A non-conductive reflection material 15 is filled around the transparent material layer 13 and cured, thereby forming the reflection material layer 15 having a side surface inclined along the inclined side surface of the transparent material layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
