<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear of a lost motion spring. <P>SOLUTION: A variable valve train 9 includes a drive cam 10, an oscillating member 20, and a lost motion spring 30 for biasing the oscillating member 20 toward the driven cam 10. The lost motion spring 30 is a torsion coil spring including a coil part 32 in which a spring wire M is wound around the center line Q extending parallel to the oscillation axis P of the oscillating member 20, and an arm part 33 formed by extending one end of the spring wire M from the coil part 32 toward the oscillating member 20. The torsional moment around the center line Q is transmitted to the oscillating member 20 by the arm part 33. An acting part 33a extending parallel to the oscillation axis P is formed on the arm part 33 by bending one end of the arm part 33. Wear preventive members 40, 50 in contact with the oscillating member 20 to prevent wear of the spring wire M at the acting part 33a are externally fitted to the acting part 33a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
