<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine starter capable of unfailingly starting an engine during driving a vehicle without requiring a starter motor. <P>SOLUTION: A drive starter gear 33 formed on a differential case 32 is geared with a driven starter gear 37 formed on the crank shaft 30 of an engine E. Since this configuration enables the engine E to be started by cranking the crank shaft 30 with drive forces transmitted from driving wheels W without requiring a starter motor and the drive forces are not transmitted to the crank shaft 30 via a transmission T, the transmission T can be prevented from dragging. Since gear ratios of the drive starter gear 33 and the driven starter gear 37 are set so that the number of rotations of the crank shaft 30 may be the number of rotations capable of starting the engine E when a vehicle speed reaches a predetermined vehicle speed for starting the engine E, the crank shaft 30 can be cranked at the optimum speed to unfailingly start the engine E. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
