<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method for steel where the sticking of alumina to the inner wall face of an immersion nozzle is effectively suppressed, and the clogging of the immersion nozzle can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A whole lower side area from a position higher at least 500 mm from an upper end of discharge holes 13 out of an inner face of a wall of an immersion nozzle 6, is composed of an alumina-graphite refractory containing, by mass, 2% or more and less than 5% CaO and 20% or less SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. By using the immersion nozzle 6, Ar gas is blown in the immersion nozzle 6 while making the flow rate of Ar gas within the immersion nozzle 6 be 0.8 to 8 NL (Normal Litter)/min, and a molten steel 2 is passed through the inside of the immersion nozzle 6 at a flow velocity of 25 to 200 cm/s, is fed from the discharge holes 13 to a mold 14, and is subjected to continuous casting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
