WATER REPELLENT FIBER AGGREGATE AND WATER REPELLENT PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water repellent fiber aggregate whose water absorbing property is improved by temperature rise while having excellent water repellency and to provide a water repellent processing method of a fiber aggregate for producing the water repellent fiber aggregate.

SOLUTION: A water repellent fiber aggregate is provided in which the fiber surface is covered by a coat containing a water repellent agent which reversibly undergoes a solid-liquid phase transition within the range of 0 to 100°C. A water repellent processing method includes applying a solution containing the water repellent agent which reversibly undergoes the solid-liquid phase transition within the range of 0 to 100°C to a fiber aggregate and drying it.
