<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic wave device that can prevent peeling of a terminal from a base plate. <P>SOLUTION: A SAW device 1 comprises a base plate 3; a SAW element 11 provided on a first principal surface 3a of the base plate 3; a cover 5 that forms, on the saw element 11, a vibration space 10 and covers the saw element 11; a terminal 7 connected electrically to the saw element 11 and penetrates through the cover 5 in a direction in which a first principal surface 3a thereof faces.
