<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache memory device capable of reducing a data size of a tag storage unit. <P>SOLUTION: A tag storage unit 120 includes: a tag high-order table 121 storing high-order-side values of tags for use in referring to cache data; and a tag low-order table 122 storing pointers associating tag low-order-side values with either of the values stored in the tag high-order table 121, and an even number of low-order-side values of tags to the number of cache indices. A cache data storage unit 130 stores cache data associated with the tag. An access control unit 110 searches the tag storage unit 120 according to a data access, and accesses to the cache data storage unit 130 based on the search result. The tag high-order table 121 is so configured that the sum of the data size of the tag high-order table and the data size of the tag low-order table 122 becomes less than a multiplier of the bit width of the tag and the number of cache indices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
