<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which light extraction efficiency is improved, and luminance unevenness and flicker are decreased. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is composed of a plurality of pixels, and each pixel in the plurality of pixels includes a light emission layer, a diffraction grating having an in-plane refraction index distribution, and an intermediate layer arranged between the light emission layer and the diffraction grating and composed of at least one or more layers. The intermediate layer includes an in-plane concavo-convex structure having an optical path length difference equal to or more than prescribed times of the wavelength of light emitted by the light emission layer, in order to uniformize the extraction rate of the light extracted to the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
