<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damage prevention component of a linear guide device preventing generation of damages to an inner seal, a side seal, and a rail cover, when assembling the linear guide device. <P>SOLUTION: The damage prevention component 32 is used for preventing the generation of damages to the rail cover 8, a side seal 5, and the inner seal 9 when assembling the linear guide device by mounting the slider 2 from the axial directional end of the guide rail 1. The step 30 is alleviated by attaching a damage prevention component 32 so as to cover the step 30 because the step 30 is formed by the rail cover 8 and the upper face 1b or the side faces 1a of the guide rail 1 exposed from the rail cover 8.
