<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cutting tool, which forms an annular cutting edge comprising an electrocast abrasive grain layer that is mounted to a side peripheral part of a circular base and formed by protruded from a peripheral edge of the part, perpendicularly with respect to the rotational axis line of the circular base. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a cutting tool includes: an inclined surface forming step of forming a cutting edge area where at least the annular cutting edge is formed in an electrocast abrasive grain layer formation part of one side peripheral part of the circular base, on an inclined surface for canceling the deformation that is caused by the difference between stresses exerted in opposite sides to the annular cutting edge with respect to a surface perpendicular to the axis line of a mounting hole; an electrocast abrasive grain layer forming step of forming the electrocast abrasive grain layer 520 by fixing abrasive grains in the electrocast abrasive grain layer formation part of the circular base with plate processing; and an etching step of etching the cutting edge area of the circular base, where the electrocast abrasive grain layer is formed, to remove the area so as to protrude the annular cutting edge comprising the electrocast abrasive grain layer from the peripheral edge of the circular base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
