The flap i.e. bonnet (10), has an exterior paneling part (12) designed as a metal sheet component, and connected with a foamed body (14) and an inner part (20). The inner part is formed as a surface-area that is smaller than the paneling part. The inner part runs along an external periphery edge i.e. rabbet (24), of the paneling part, and consists of a trimming in a central region. A reinforcement strut (28) interconnects attachment points such as hinges, buffers, locks and safety hooks, to each other. The strut is connected with the inner part and/or the body that is formed from plastic foam.
