<p>The present invention provides a method and system for achieving main/standby switch for single boards. The method includes the following steps: establishing inter-board communication paths between individual single board and other single boards; when main/standby switch is required, through the mutual negotiations among the single boards, electing, by respective single boards, a single board awaiting main use from the single boards applying to be main, and setting the single board awaiting main use to be main. The manner for achieving main/standby switch for single boards in the present invention needs no interventions of a control single board, which avoids the risk of being unable to implement the main/standby switch due to the failures of the control single board, reduces the complexity of the system, and saves the cost for establishing the system, and the whole achievement manner is simple and facilitated to implement since the structure of the system is simple relatively.</p> |
