ARTICLES DETECTION DEVICE AND DETECTION METHOD THEREOF

An article detection device is provided in present invention. Said device comprises a scatter detector array, wherein said scatter detector array includes multiple identical detection modules formed into i rows and j columns. Wherein, transmission section of the articles transmitted by X ray is divided into i rows×j columns of partitioned areas equal in size, and the i×j detection modules of the scatter detector array correspond to the i×j partitioned areas of the articles' transmission section individually. The electron pairs effect annihilation photons and Compton scattering photons produced by the x ray at the corresponding partitioned areas are detected individually to form the three dimension image of the article based on the ratio of the detected counting of the electron pairs effect annihilation photons to that of the Compton scattering photons. Compared to the prior arts, the scatter detector array for detecting scattering photons is added on the basis of the traditional transmission detecting device for articles in present invention, and the three dimension image of the detected article can be easily obtained in the process of two dimension transmission imaging. Besides, a detection method for articles is provided.
