<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a failure caused by moisture absorption of toner of a two-component developer under high humidity environment regardless of an amount of toner consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation device includes a photosensitive drum 16 on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a development device 19 for housing a two-component developer containing toner and carrier and for supplying toner to a surface of the photosensitive drum 16, and a toner supplying device for supplying toner to the development device 19. Toner in the developer device 19 is consumed by supplying toner from the development device 19 to the photosensitive drum 16. The toner forced-consumption operation is performed in which the toner is supplied from the toner supplying device to the developer device in association with the toner consumption. The image formation device includes a humidity sensor 37, and a control device 34 for performing the toner forced-consumption operation when a high-humidity state lasts for a predefined period of time, the state in which the humidity detected by the humidity sensor 37 equals or exceeds a threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
