<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet unit for always keeping proper ink pressure in the vicinity of a nozzle opening, without requiring complicated control or large energy consumption, and to provide a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet unit has a control means which selects: a first state where P1(Pa) and P2(Pa) are adjusted so that the pressure of liquid is maintained at a proper pressure Pn(Pa) in the vicinity of a nozzle opening of an ink jet head, or a second state where the P1(Pa) and P2(Pa) are adjusted so that the pressure of liquid is maintained at the proper pressure Pn(Pa) in the vicinity of the nozzle opening, while setting the difference between the P1(Pa) and P2(Pa) larger than that in the first state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
