<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutter the size of which in the right-and-left direction is made small and lightweight and which is excellent in working efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The portable cutter 1 has a housing 2 in which a brushless motor 3 having an output shaft 32 extending in one direction is incorporated. The housing 2 has a saw cover 23 in which a cutting blade 5 that is rotatively driven by the brushless motor 3 and used for cutting a workpiece. The saw cover 23 or the housing 2 is turnably supported by a base 7. An opening which is abutted on the workpiece and from which the cutting blade is projected, is formed on the base 7. A handle 6 extending in the direction orthogonal to the one direction is arranged on the housing 2. A center-of-gravity line G which passes through the centroid position indicating the centroid of the whole cutting tool and extends in the direction orthogonal to the one direction, is regulated in the housing 2 and positioned below the handle 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
