<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money processor which is capable of improving the convenience to customers by shortening the time of money receipt and payment to reduce the time for which customers wait for adjustment at a register counter or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A money processor distinguishes and counts received money to store the money into storage boxes 25b provided per denomination or a storage box 25c for mixed denominations or the like, on the basis of money receipt permission from a host machine 90 which executes selling commodity data processing, and stops a money receipt operation on the basis of a money receipt end instruction from the host machine 90 and determines denominations and the numbers of bills and coins to pay change from the storage boxes 25b and 25c, on the basis of a payment instruction from the host machine 90.
