<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed blade which forms D-shaped ice cubes with proper characteristics, which prevents sticking to each other, arching and melting, by improving the fixed blade constituting an auger type ice making machine, and which has a high strength against a large pushing force from the side of an ice compressing passage and facilitates a cleaning operation by preventing dirt from adhering to a base of a blade portion of the fixed blade, while eliminating structural problems of the blade portion. <P>SOLUTION: The ice compressing passage P of the fixed blade 13 constituting the auger type ice making machine is formed between the adjacent blade portions 13b and 13c protruding by a predetermined length to an outer peripheral side from a cylindrical base body 13a of the fixed blade 13. A width L between the adjacent blade portions of the fixed blade 13 is formed to be gradually smaller toward the base of the blade portion, and a cross section is formed to swell in an arc shape toward a blade bottom between the blade portions. Thus, a compressed ice I11 formed in each ice compressing passage P has a D-shaped cross section swelling in the arc shape on the blade bottom between the blade portions.
