<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desalination apparatus which efficiently operates a pump for decompressing a raw water evaporation chamber etc., and can save energy. <P>SOLUTION: The desalination apparatus 1 includes: a raw water storage part 2 for storing raw water W in a raw water storage chamber 20; a raw water evaporator 3 for evaporating the raw water W, transported from the raw water storage part 2, in the raw water evaporation chamber 30 to turn the raw water into steam S; a cooling unit 4 for condensing the steam S generated in the raw water evaporator 3 and cooling it in the cooling chamber 40 to obtain fresh water Wt; a fresh water storage part 5 for storing the fresh water Wt transported from the cooling unit 4 in a fresh water storage chamber 50; and a decompression part 6 having a vacuum pump 61 and an ejector 62, either of which operates to decompress the raw water evaporation chamber 30 by vacuuming up air in the raw water evaporation chamber 30 through the cooling chamber 40 and the fresh water storage chamber 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
